Perched high above Port de Sóller, Jumeirah Mallorca is the kind of hotel that immediately grabs your attention with its setting. Dramatic cliffs, panoramic sea views, and a front-row seat to the Tramuntana mountains make it one of the most visually stunning properties on the island. At first glance, it feels like a luxury escape that should check every box.
But once you settle in, the experience starts to fall short of expectations. While the views are undeniably incredible, the overall stay doesn’t quite match the premium price point.
Tips for Visiting
If you’re planning to visit, treat this more as a “come for the views” destination rather than a full luxury stay. Stop by for sunset drinks or a quick visit to take in the scenery, but think twice about committing to multiple nights.
If you do stay, plan to explore outside the hotel for meals – there are far better (and more reasonably priced) options down in Port de Sóller. And keep expectations in check when it comes to service, as it can be inconsistent.

Best things to do
Start your day by the infinity pool, which is easily the highlight of the property. Overlooking the coastline, it’s one of those views that feels almost too perfect to be real. Early mornings here are especially peaceful before the crowds build.
Sunset is when the hotel really shines. Grab a drink and take in the golden light hitting the cliffs and water – it’s the kind of setting that makes you pause for a second and just take it all in.
That said, we’d recommend heading off-property for meals. While the hotel offers multiple dining options, both our experience and many public reviews point to high prices that don’t match the quality, especially compared to what you can find nearby.

The sangria here was to die for and the setting outside was absolutely stunning!
Where to Take Photos
The infinity pool is the obvious standout – especially at sunrise or sunset when the lighting softens and the water blends into the horizon.
Terraces throughout the property also offer incredible vantage points of the coastline, perfect for wide landscape shots.
For golden hour, head toward any west-facing viewpoint – you’ll capture the cliffs, sea, and sky all in one frame. Just don’t forget… the views are doing most of the work here.

Location
Located just outside Port de Sóller on Mallorca’s northwest coast, the hotel is set in a more secluded, elevated area. While this adds to the dramatic scenery, it also means you’re somewhat removed from the action.
It’s a great base for exploring the Tramuntana region, but you’ll definitely want a car to make the most of it.
- Unmatched views and dramatic cliffside setting
- Beautiful design and aesthetic throughout the property
- Service inconsistent for a 5-star hotel
- Overall value doesn’t match the cost
If you’re purely chasing views, Jumeirah Mallorca delivers. But if you’re looking for a true luxury experience that justifies the price, this one misses the mark. It’s the kind of place that looks incredible on paper – and in photos – but doesn’t quite live up to it in reality.
